    Harry S. Truman Elementary focuses on providing children with a caring, safe, and innovative learning environment that optimizes their learning capacity. The school strongly believes in the key role of a parent to their child’s education, which is why they maintain constant communication between parents and teachers.

    Harry S. Truman Elementary School is selected by the Desert Sands Unified School District to join La Quinta Middle School in creating the first kindergarten to 8th grade specialized STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) pathway.

    Riverside STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Academy serves grades 5-12. Opened in 2011, the school has an emphasis on the use of technology, using it as a tool so that students can work collaboratively both at school and at home and communicate with teachers.

    The school is in the process of developing partnerships with several community organizations, local colleges and universities, and STEM related businesses, and is closely affiliated with the University of California and Riverside Colleges.

Students of Riverside Stem Academy also participate in a variety of before and after school clubs and activities, such as Robotics, Science Olympiad, Designation Imagination, and MATHCOUNTS.
