* JANUARY *

CareerBuilder Challenge (Formerly The Humana Challenge & Bob Hope Classic)
The CareerBuilder Challenge began as the Palm Springs Classic back in 1960 – with Arnold Palmer as the very first champion. Since then, it has grown into one of the standout events of the PGA Tour, and the only tournament on the circuit that features Pro-Am play along with tournament play for the first 54 holes.

Palm Springs International Film Festival
Screenings of fabulous films punctuated with red carpet appearances by some of Hollywood’s most famous.

HITS Thermal Desert Cities Horse Show
The HITS Desert Circuit is an eight week hunter/jumper horse show running in January thru March. The Desert Circuit is a mainstay of West Coast completion for the past two decades. It culminates with the AIG $1 Million Grande Prix, the richest prize in American show jumping.

Desert Arts Festival
The Desert Arts Festival in Downtown Palm Springs will feature 100 artist presenting their work. Festival attendees will find blown glass, turned wood, semi-precious jewelry, pottery, stained glass and an array of high quality crafts.

Southwest Arts Festival
This judged and juried art show takes place outdoors at the Empire Polo Club and includes refreshments and entertainment.

The Town Square Art Affaire
The event will feature numerous artists located in Cathedral City. Contemporary craftsmen present unique styles of individually handcrafted functional and decorative pottery, raku, turned wood vessels and gourd art.

Sunday Polo – Empire Polo Club
Polo games are open to the public from January – April. There are two games every Sunday and Friday night is “Polo Under The Lights” on the second Friday of each month.

Tour de Palm Springs
Tour de Palm Springs is a CVSPIN – sponsored event designed to raise money for nonprofit organizations in the Coachella Valley. Palm Springs’ famous weather and gorgeous mountain scenery, make for a fundraising event like no other!

Palm Desert Public Art Documentary Film Series
First of four (Jan-April) free monthly programs featuring film and guest speakers.

* FEBRUARY *

Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival
Famous for its more than 7,000 exhibits, Arabian Nights Pageants and popular camel and ostrich races.

Desert Classic d’Elegance
An annual celebration of beauty, art, design and engineering, this 2 day premier motorsports event culminates with the prestigious Concours d’Elegance.

Tour de Palm Springs
Enjoy the sunshine, live music, food and fun with thousands of bike riders for a charitable cause.

Modernism Week
Annual celebration of mid-century modern design, architecture, art, fashion and culture. This exciting “festival” takes place in February in the Palm Springs area.

Art in the Park
A one day show in Down Town Palm Springs, will feature numerous artists presenting their original work in all mediums of two and three dimensional fine art. Each artist will be present to meet with the public and discuss work.

Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon & Fine Arts Festival
The event will be held in Cathedral City Town Square, with activities from early morning till late at night.

The Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational
A rich history as one of the marquee golf and fundraising events in the Coachella Valley.

Greek Festival
Annual Palm Desert Greek Festival you will enjoy music, dance and try some new foods and make new friends.

BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament
More than 250 of the world’s top men’s and women’s tennis stars come to the nearby Indian Wells Tennis Garden for two weeks of major competition.

Rhythm, Wine & Brews Experience 2018
The 7th Annual Rhythm, Wine & Brews Experience returns to Empire Polo Club’s fields on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018, presented by Empire Music Ventures. The 2018 line up features grunge headliner Stone Temple Pilots as well as The Psychedelic Furs, She Wants Revenge and more.

Patrick Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament
Be a part of The Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament benefiting St. Jude in Palm Desert, California. Since 2011, the Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament has raised more than $7 million to ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. With your help, the 2018 event will be an even bigger success.

First Thursdays Old Town La Quinta
Come to Old Town La Quinta on the first Thursday of every month from February 1st – May 3rd and enjoy live music on Main Street! Happy hour menu and drink prices are extended to 8 pm in addition to regular dinner menus at Solano’s, The Grill on Main, Old Town Tavern-Barbeque & More, Stuft Pizza, and The Wine Emporium.

The Great Inflatable Race Coachella
The Great Inflatable Race is a fun run with inflatable obstacles spread throughout the running course. Heritage Festival
Festival will feature demonstrations by the FFA at Indio High, Master Gardeners, vintage and new tractors, as well as other demonstrations showing various aspects of early life in the desert. The Jr. Historians will perform their “Living History” come see some of our founding fathers & mothers come to life! FREE festival! Bring the family, enjoy entertainment, food vendors & old fashion children’s games.

ANA Inspiration
The ANA Inspiration (formerly known most recently as the Kraft Nabisco Championship) is one of the five major championships of professional women’s golf. An event of the LPGA Tour, it is held yearly at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California.

Fashion Week El Paseo

Coachella Valley Walk for Kids
The Walk for Kids™ is a fun, family-friendly 5K walk event designed to help raise funds for the services and programs provided by Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California.

Mission La Quinta: Rocket Launch
Mission LQ is a launchpad for beginners to seasoned rocketeers to learn, model and launch small power rockets. There will be instruction from La Quinta Rocketry Club leaders and guidance from the National Association of Rocketry to provide a safe and controlled environment. Join our club through the National Association of Rocketry to launch your own rocket into La Quinta skies!

16th Annual Indian Wells Arts Festival
The Coachella Valley is set to bloom in a colorful efflorescence of fine art at the 16th annual Indian Wells Arts Festival, March 30 & 31 – April 1, 2018.

The Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival
Join us for the annual Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival! This FREE event celebrates wellness, recreation, and the outdoors.

Palm Springs Food Truck Mash-Up
A convoy of tasty food trucks will make its way to the Coachella Valley at the Spa Resort Casino, which also will include a concert by Night Ranger at 7:30 p.m. as part of the casino’s Concerts Under the Palms series.

Hike 4 Education
Join Desert Sands Educational Foundation 5th annual fundraising hike event at Lake Cahuilla in La Quinta. The funds raised will support the children and programs in DSUSD schools. Participants can choose the lake view 5K or explore the nature 1K walk. Routes are family and stroller friendly!

Food+Wine Festival Palm Desert
Foodies and wine enthusiasts will converge on Food+Wine Festival in Palm Desert, with a four-course gourmet kitchen luncheon created by James Beard Award–winning and nominated chefs accompanied by premium wine pairings.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
Young music lovers converge at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio for a rollicking weekend of performances by the hottest bands in the country.

Stagecoach Country Music Festival
Top country musical talent is showcased along with art exhibits, vendors and food, for three days of down-home fun at the Empire Polo Grounds.

Annual Taste of La Quinta

Chocolate Speakeasy in Indio
More than 4,000 s’mores will descend on downtown Indio. We’re talkin’ 700 pounds of marshmallows, 3,000 candy bars and enough graham crackers to make Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley and the Southern California desert the S’mores Capitol of the World.

La Quinta City Picnic

Indian Wells Music Festival 2018
GRAMMY award-winner Jonny Lang and Jon Batiste with the Dap-Kings will headline the Indian Wells Music Festival, a newly-expanded two-day music concert event to be held April 6-7, 2018 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Tequila & Tacos Fiesta
Tequila & Tacos Fiesta will bring an authentic fiesta and unique flavors from some of La Quinta’s finest eating establishments. Restaurants will have tequila tastings and tacos at a special price, while enjoying mariachi music in the heart of Old Town.

PSPL Comic Con
Join us for our 3rd Annual PSPL Comic Con on Saturday, May 19 at 10am-4pm, expanded to be an all-day affair! Wear your costumes; open to all ages and FREE.

Jacqueline Cochran Air Show
Jacqueline Cochran Air Show held in Thermal, CA a FREE event with FREE parking.

* JUNE *

Palm Springs Restaurant Week
A 10-day celebration of local cuisine held in the beginning of June. Featuring dozens of the area’s finest dining establishments, each offering a special three-course menu.

* OCTOBER *

Golf Cart Parade
A Palm Desert tradition that transforms El Paseo into a street lined with residents and visitors watching marching bands and colorful themed floats.

Modernism Week “Fall Preview”
In addition to the events in February, Modernism Week hosts the “Fall Preview” over Columbus Day weekend in mid-October. Partner organizations collaborate to produce a “mini-Modernism Week” to kick-off the active social and recreational season in Palm Springs.

Art Under the Umbrellas – October thru March
Art Under the Umbrellas shows are one day events located in Old Town La Quinta from 10am to 4pm on designated Saturdays. Put on by the prestigious La Quinta Arts Foundation.

Certified Farmers’ Market at Old Town La Quinta – October thru May
Visit the Certified Farmers’ Market along Main Street Sundays from 8am to 12:30pm for the freshest produce, herbs, honey, nuts, cheese, cut flowers, plants, fresh baked breads from L’Artisan Bakery, live chef demonstrations and live music to feed your soul.

A must-taste event ranked by the Food Network-TV as among the top 10 “All American Food Festivals” in the nation.
